Crafty Cuts Carvery sandwich and meat plate

Review: Crafty Cuts Carvery (Sydney CBD)

MLC Centre has a cool new addition to the already great array of eateries: Crafty Cuts Carvery, the food court version of the slow cooked meat joints that have been popping out in the past few years.

Meats

These guys offer a variety of meats including slow roasted lamb, pulled pork, smoked beef brisket, etc. These can be served in sandwiches or, better yet, as meat plates that comes with a side dish, plus a side to choose. Options include a few salads, potato mash, roasted vegetables and roasted sweet potatoes. Not all of them are gluten-free and the plate comes with a slice of bread, which can be skipped on request.

My meat plate had lamb, smoked brisket, chickpea salad and roasted vegetables. The green sauce is mint aioli. Great taste (the meats more than the veggies) and very filling, I reckon it’s good value for the money.

Sebastian had a smoked brisket sandwich with dill pickle, mash avocado and jack cheese as his 3 fillings of choice. He said the sandwich was okay, but expensive for what it was.
