I think Smoque got in my radar from this review at Paleo Foodies. I had high expectations knowing that most of their smoked meats are gluten-free. A Canberrian friend remembered I had mentioned the restaurant and he thought it would be a good idea for dinner in our last visit.
Apart from water, there are big BBQ sauce bottles on the tables, right next to the menus and rolls of paper towel, to clean up the mess.
We ordered a Hi-Five Platter that consists on pulled pork, pork ribs, brisket, ½ chicken, beef rib & 2 sides, which is meant to serve 1 to 4 people according to the menu (?) and we shared between 5. For the sides, we chose hand cut fries with house seasoning and coleslaw. The platter also comes with cornbread and pickles.

Sadly, the food was pretty average. Not tender and juicy as expected. Chips and slaw were good, and I heard the cornbread too.
