Review: Red Chilli Hotpot (Glebe)

As usual, I’ll be direct and honest with this one and say I didn’t like the hotpot experience at Red Chilli.

Some people ordered half mild spicy, half chicken broth but we played it safe and ordered only chicken broth.

We paid for the buffet A ($21), which includes meats and vegetables (no seafood). We got some thinly sliced lamb, chicken wings, sausage, sliced potato, bean sprouts, mushrooms, rice and sweet potato noodles, bok choy, Chinese cabbage, ham, etc. My favourite were the chicken wings.

I found the unprocessed meats, veggies, and broth pretty bland in taste. Sauces are optional and cost extra. We got some sesame paste and sesame oil, but what I really needed was a good pinch of salt.
