Xmas paleo potluck

One of many Xmas celebrations involved a potluck (“bring a plate” in Australian) meetup with some paleo friends. We met at the good old Sydney Park, my favourite sprint spot.

These guys!

We had the weather on our side and a wonderful spread of tasty nourishing food.

The spread

The menu included bacon-wrapped almond-stuffed dates, sweet potato salad, muffaletta salad (recipe here) with double-smoked ham, lamb salad with activated nuts and seeds, and meatballs & guacamole.

Apart from the dates (which we all agreed were just a vehicle for bacon) we didn’t have any sweets on the table. Unfortunately it was to late to look for raw paleo-friendly desserts in the vicinity. I’m sure we’ll do something about it next time.

Merry Xmas everyone! Have a fantastic one, however you choose to spend it!
