Review: My Selection Cafe (Sydney CBD)

Another lunchtime quest for Vietnamese food took us to the dark corridors known as Hunter Arcade. A neon sign with the non-descriptive business name My Selection didn’t give me much hope but Sebastian was willing to try. It was sort of empty when we arrived (around noon) but got busier later on.

Inside, the menu announced the usual suspects (like pho), but also bacon & egg muffins and Hungarian goulash. I was confused.

To add to the confusion, check out the serviettes:

It was pho weather but I was craving more vegetables. I ordered a chilli lemongrass beef salad with vermicelli and Sebastian ordered the same, but with chicken. They were pricier than equivalent salads in the area, but also a bit bigger. I must say I wasn’t expecting much but it was a pretty decent lunch.

I’m curious to try the congee and the pho.
