Review: Churrasco (Woolloomooloo)

When it comes to churrasco (all-you-can-eat Brazilian BBQ), what sets restaurants apart, in my opinion, is not the price or the location, but the quality of the meats and sides, and the number of gluten-free options. In our visit to Churrasco I was gladly surprised to see that they had a gluten-free menu and that fresh salads were abundant.

The grill

Churrasco has the traditional red-green signs to communicate with waiters but they don’t really use them. No matter how stuffed you are, you can flash the red side of your sign and they’ll still come with more meat.


Served on the table, the starchy sides meant to make you full (potato salad, beans and rice) were left untouched.

Instead, we enjoyed the various salads that were continuously brought to the table.

The meats were in general great. Some better than others, some more tender than others, but all very tasty.
